International Motor Show Germany 2015

International Motor Show in German known as Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung (IAA), is the world's largest motor show since 1897. It is held annually, with passenger and commercial vehicles including some motorcycles in Frankfurt am Main. Currently the show occupies in twelve building.

Siemens will show Roding Roadster Electric at 2015 IAA in Frankfurt Germany this month.

The Roding Roadster Electric is hub drive powered research vehicle. Based on Roding Carbon Cell, this innovative battery-powered drive train could be realized together with Siemens Corporate Technology.
The prototypes used for this purpose were constructed without a mechanical brake at the rear axle, instead, braking is done by the electric motor. The brake system is controlled by so called Brake Blending, i.e. as circumstances require, the brake torque is automatically transferred from the electrically powered brake to the friction brake at the front axle. It is aimed to recuperate the entire potential energy in 70% of all braking processes.

  • Maximum power: 2 x 120 kW
  • Maximum torque: 2 x 1250 Nm
  • Lithium Ion Battery: 194 kWh
  • Unloaded weight: 1125 kg
